A budgeting app that also splits bills
Most people budget in one app and split bills in another, and the two never agree. Cuzo does both, so your budget knows what you actually spent.
Why one app instead of two
When splitting lives in one app and your budget in another, your budget gets shared money wrong. Pay for dinner for three, and your budget either counts all of it as yours, or misses it entirely until someone remembers to fix it. Your month looks better or worse than it is, depending on who paid this time.
In Cuzo, a shared bill is split once, and only your share lands in your budget. The rest becomes what your friends owe you.
How it works
- Your own spending. Log an expense in a few seconds. Type sums like 120+80 straight into the amount, and pick a merchant you have used before to fill in its category.
- Budgets. Set a budget per category, as an amount or a share of your income, monthly or yearly, and see how each one is doing as the month goes.
- Crews for shared costs. Make a Crew for your flat, a trip or you and a partner. Anyone in it adds what they paid, and Cuzo splits it evenly, by shares or by exact amounts.
- Who owes whom. Every Crew keeps a running balance, settled in the fewest payments or person by person, whichever your Crew prefers.
- Getting paid back. Add your UPI ID, or your Venmo or Zelle, and your Crew can pay you back in a tap.
No bank login needed
You log what you spend yourself, whether you paid by UPI, card or cash. Rent, subscriptions and other recurring bills add themselves on schedule, and you can import a CSV of past expenses. See tracking expenses without a bank login for how that stays quick.
Who it is for
Flatmates splitting rent and groceries, friends on a trip, and couples who share some costs but keep their own budgets. Living with people? Start with splitting rent and bills with flatmates.

Questions
Is there one app for both budgeting and splitting bills?
Yes. Cuzo is a personal budgeting app with bill splitting built in. You track your own spending and budgets, and split shared costs in Crews, and your share of every shared bill counts in your own budget automatically.
Do I have to connect my bank account?
No. Cuzo works without a bank login. You log expenses yourself, which takes a few seconds, and recurring bills like rent add themselves.
Do my friends need to pay to split with me?
No. Crews are free on every plan. Your friends need a free Cuzo account to join your Crew.
Is Cuzo free?
Yes. Basic is free: expenses, budgets, recurring bills, Crews, Story of the Month, and CSV import and export. Analyst adds deeper reports, with a free first month.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Cuzo runs in the browser on any phone or computer, and on your phone you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. Apps for iPhone and Android are coming soon.
