Terms of use
Last updated 1 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Vaibhav Arora, who runs Cuzo ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Cuzo, you agree to them. Please read them with our privacy policy and cancellation and refund policy.
What Cuzo is
Cuzo helps you record and budget your own spending, and split shared costs with other people in a Crew. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not hold, send or receive money, and settling up with Crew members happens outside Cuzo, between you.
Cuzo is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Reports, scores and suggested budgets are worked out from what you enter, and are only as accurate as that information.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use Cuzo.
- Give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us at team@cuzo.app if you think someone else has used your account.
Your data
What you enter is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Cuzo for you, as described in the privacy policy. You can export or delete it at any time.
Crews
When you add an expense to a Crew, its members can see it. Only add people you are comfortable sharing those expenses with, and only record amounts that are accurate. Balances in a Crew are a record to help you settle up; we are not responsible for payments between members.
Paid plans
- Some features are part of paid plans. The price, in rupees or US dollars depending on your account, is shown before you pay.
- Plans are monthly subscriptions, paid through Razorpay (in Indian rupees) or PayPal (in US dollars), that renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling and refunds are covered by our cancellation and refund policy.
- If we change the price of a plan, we will tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- A paid plan unlocks in your account as soon as payment succeeds.
Free months and referrals
We may offer free time on a paid plan, for example as a trial or for inviting friends. Free time has no cash value and cannot be transferred. We may change or end these offers, but free time you have already been given is yours to use. Referrals must be real people who choose to join; we may remove free time gained through fake or duplicate accounts.
Using Cuzo fairly
Do not:
- break the law using Cuzo, or use it to harass or mislead other people;
- try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or to bypass payment or plan limits;
- disrupt the service, or scrape or copy it in bulk by automated means.
We may suspend or close accounts that do, after telling you why where we can.
Changes and availability
We work to keep Cuzo available and accurate, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be free of errors or interruptions. We may change or remove features. If a change takes away something you have paid for, our refund policy applies.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make using Cuzo. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Cuzo and delete your account at any time. We may end these terms or your access if you seriously or repeatedly break them.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Cuzo after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, please write to team@cuzo.app first; most things can be sorted out quickly.
